Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
Experience working with Level II trauma patients
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification or competency
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
Background checks including 10-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal History Search and Employee Misconduct Registry within 30 days of start
NURSYS verification of RN license within 30 days of start
Education verification and highest level diploma/transcript as applicable
Confidentiality and Security Agreement signed prior to start
Drug screening and blood testing consent form signed; onsite drug screen during orientation
TB questionnaire and negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 12 months; chest x-ray if positive
Physical exam within 1 year of start, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
N95 Fit Test within 1 year of start (PAPR not accepted)
Immunizations/vaccinations or positive titers required within 72 hours of contract signing:
- TDAP (within 10 years)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen upon arrival
Flu vaccination or agency declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
References: 2 required within 3 years of start
Resume or employment application copy required
Annual updates required for background checks, competency exams, and orientation safety manual acknowledgment

Candidate must complete facility-specific orientation and compliance forms prior to start
Must be prepared to work in a Level II or III trauma ER setting with both adult and pediatric patients
Prior recent travel ER experience preferred but not mandatory
