Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

Location: Shawnee, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work schedule: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Saturday shifts rotate among Physical Therapists
• Uniform: Caribbean blue scrubs
• Must shave for mask fit testing (no exceptions; PAPRs/CAPRs not provided or allowed)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience
• Valid Oklahoma Physical Therapist license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Skills in acute care, pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, wound/ulcer assessment and management, breathing techniques, plan of care, OASIS, evaluations, assessments, neurologic care, and home exercise programs

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Criminal background check within 12 months, including SSN trace, 7-year county residency/work history, nationwide search, and sex offender search
• Primary source verification of state license prior to start
• Fit mask testing completed onsite during first week of orientation; fit test record must be submitted within two weeks of start
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start (covered for agency candidates)
• Negative drug screen within 12 months of start
• TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if PPD positive
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
• COVID vaccination series preferred
• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
• Required to complete facility-specific orientation modules and sign confidentiality, security, and ethical conduct agreements prior to start
• Post-start orientation checklists must be completed and submitted within the first week
