Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience

Clinical Expectations

  • Float within a 60-mile zone across multiple facilities
  • May be assigned to medical-surgical telemetry, ICU low-acuity holds, PCU/stepdown, or other acuity levels as needed
  • Heparin titration required
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–6 based on acuity

Scheduling

  • Schedule is released 4–6 weeks in advance
  • 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • May be asked to work holidays
  • Rare call/standby requirement

  • Interview with the clinical team

Additional Notes

  • Travelers are responsible for securing housing that allows them to float throughout the full 60-mile zone
  • Must be in state for orientation week
  • No home base facility
