Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech with recent experience in Electrophysiology (EP) for a busy cardiac catheterization lab. The unit is equipped with advanced technology and performs diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations as well as structural heart procedures.

Unit Information

Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
Number of Beds: 5
Number of Staff: 25
Shift Types:
- Day Shift: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
- Night Shift: On call
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Equipment: X-ray, PACS, Mac Lab, iStat, Avox
EMR System: Cerner
Dress Code: Surgical green scrubs
On Call: Every 5th weekend, from 7am Saturday to 7am Monday

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Cath Lab Tech Certification (RCIS or ARRT)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations
Experience with structural heart procedures

Additional Information

No floating required
Surgical green scrubs required
Patient care includes working in a high-acuity environment with a 1:1 patient ratio
