Echo Tech – North Carolina, Chapel Hill

Job Summary

• Perform cardiac ultrasound evaluations.
• Communicate acute findings to Cardiologist and route studies for interpretation.
• Obtain pertinent patient health history prior to examination.
• Prepare procedure room and equipment for daily use; ensure timely and efficient room preparation between procedures.
• Troubleshoot and identify equipment problems; report issues to supervisor.
• May perform staff training and education.

Schedule

• Either 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Or 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Total hours per week: 36

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of a 12-month ultrasound program.
• BLS certification.
• Certification through ARDMS or CCI (including RDCS, RCS, ACS, or RCCS).
