Operating Room RN

Overview

Travel/contract role in Charleston, South Carolina
Day shift: 4x10s, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
Contract length: 13 weeks
First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius

Schedule and Work Expectations

On-call required: up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks
Weekend requirement: up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks
Must work at least one holiday period
May be asked to float within scope to meet facility needs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Radiation badge
Scrub experience strongly preferred
Level I trauma experience

Unit and Role Details

Operating room setting in a level-one academic trauma center
RN staff are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
Surgical specialties include trauma, transplant, ortho, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics

Additional Notes

EPIC charting
Parking permit requires a $20 registration fee for a garage hang tag
Hurricane season assignments may include emergency response team duties from June through November
