RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

• Travel RN role in the Emergency Dept.
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Unit name: ER
• Unit has 101 beds
• Typical patient ratio is 4:1; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Floating is limited to within the ED, with flexibility to float to all sections of the ED
• Schedule includes every other weekend; block scheduling is not available

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• Trauma experience
• Stroke experience
• Must be able to work in all areas of the ED
• Must have teamwork mentality and the ability to coach and give feedback in real time

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• CPI
• NIHSS
• ENPC within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience

Unit Details

• Documentation system: Cerner
• Equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Dress code: navy scrubs
• Techs support cardiac monitoring and the internal processing area; unit clerks are present days and nights
