Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Registered Nurse) - Travel/Contract
Location

Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date Options: ASAP, with orientation starting virtually on Friday and onsite reporting Monday; latest start options include 6/26, 7/10, or 7/17
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call Requirement: 2 four-hour blocks per 6-week schedule
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
- Block Scheduling: Accommodated
- Guaranteed Hours: Yes

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Labor and Delivery experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Certifications (Additional Recommended/Required)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) not required for Labor and Delivery
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required for NICU, not for Labor and Delivery
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required for ER, not for Labor and Delivery
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) required for Psychiatry/Behavioral Health, preferred for ER, not required for Labor and Delivery
Orientation and Training
- Virtual orientation on Friday before onsite start Monday
- EPIC training/testing available; optional to test out prior to orientation
- Various mandatory training modules with attestations, many can be completed via Docusign
Additional Notes
- Candidate must have photo ID matching legal name on first day
- Foreign-educated candidates require Foreign Equivalency Education Evaluation and diploma/transcript verification
- References: One supervisor reference within past year required for certain ICU units; standard references for others
- Employment application must include 7-year work history with no gaps over 90 days
- RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
