Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Location

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Day shift (approximately 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM) with on-call duties
Exact shift times and days may vary based on patient volume
Approximately 36 hours per week

Job Description

Provide nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) as part of the surgical team
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other staff
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring availability of supplies
- Managing case timeliness
- Communicating with patient families
- Updating physician preference cards
- Scrubbing and assisting during surgical procedures
- Supervising personnel delivering patient care
Expected to float between campuses as needed
Must demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care
Work performed in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, physician orders, and hospital policies

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, and ENT Surgery
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system
