Medical Laboratory Technologist

Location

Carbondale, Illinois

Schedule

Day shift
Every other weekend
6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
One day off each week between weekends

Role Summary

Generalist lab role with phlebotomy included
Collects, processes, and receives specimens for analysis across clinical laboratory departments
Performs complex laboratory procedures and resolves deviations or problems using scientific principles
Reviews quality control data and instrument indicators/temperature monitors
Answers inquiries about test results and methodology
Maintains self-competency in laboratory skills

Required Qualifications

Medical Technologist experience within the last year
Medical Technologist (2 years of experience)
One completed travel assignment
CLS or MT(ASCP)
Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree for grandfathered personnel
Medical Lab Technician experience
Experience with Epic

Contract Length

13 weeks

Equipment Familiarity

Preferred but not required: Abbott Alinity, ACL Tops 350, Gene Expert, Beckman Coulter, Torch, Clinitek
