Unit Type: Medical Acute Care (Med/Surg)
Number of Beds: 26
Patient Ratio: 6:1
Staff on Day Shift: Charge nurse, 4 RNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
Staff on Night Shift: Charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 PCTs
Equipment Used: Baxter IV pumps, Sequential Compression Devices (SCD) machines
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS certification required
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS certification preferred

Typical Procedures and Patient Care

Care for medical patients
Management of drips such as heparin
Post-operative care including radial cardiac catheterization patients
