Role Summary
Med Surg Float Pool RN providing patient care across multiple medical-surgical units, including step down and ED for med surg holds.
Float Scope
- All inpatient Medical-Surgical units
- Step down
- ED for med surg holds
- Orientation at Main Campus on start date, with a later 2-3 hour orientation at Women and Families
Schedule Notes
- Every other weekend
- No more than 5 days of RTO; if 5 days in a row, a week can be added to the back end
- Travelers do not work on a holiday, but are expected to work the days surrounding 1-2 holidays during the contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS
- TNCC
Additional Notes
- Nurses must be comfortable floating between multiple units
- Expected to comply with attendance, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols
