Overview
- Travel/Contract Registered Nurse role in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- 13-week assignment
- Evening shift: 5x8s, 2:45p-11:15p
- Operating Room has approximately 14 rooms
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience working with Neuro patients
- Experience working with General Surgery patients
- Experience in the general operating room (OR)
- Familiarity with total joint surgery procedures
- Vascular experience
- Transplant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- None stated
Schedule and Call
- Weekend call is required
- Call is required, with approximately 6 weekday call shifts and 2 weekend call rotations
- Floating is required based on facility needs
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are accepted with local differential
- Cerner is the charting system
- Common procedures include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery, thyroidectomy, and Whipple procedures
- Neuro cases include spinal fusion, cervical and lumbar procedures, craniotomy, and laminectomy/discectomy
- Orthopedic experience includes total hip and total knee replacements, fracture procedures, and spine cases
- Vascular experience includes carotid procedures, AV fistula repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, and abdominal aortic aneurysm procedures
