Medical Surgical Oncology

Role Overview

Travel/Contract RN Oncology position in New Haven, Connecticut.
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:00.
36 hours per week.
Contract length: 13 weeks.
Average patient ratio: 1:4.
First-time travelers accepted.
Every other weekend required.
May float within scope to meet facility needs.
Block scheduling may be accommodated.
Pending license accepted.
Guaranteed hours.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut.
Oncology experience within the last year.
1 year of oncology experience.
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
NIHSS.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

ONC and Chemo preferred.

Additional Notes

Start includes virtual orientation on Friday, with onsite reporting on Monday.
RTO greater than 7 days and/or holiday requires approval.
On-call is not required.
Charting system: Epic.
Scrub color: Royal blue.

Level I Trauma Center.
Total staffed beds: 1,567.
