Registered Nurse (PCU) - Night Shift
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with acute care ortho trauma patients
- Patient Diagnoses Include: Small bowel obstruction, falls, lacerations, pneumonia, head injury, traumatic brain injury, trauma, ileus, fistula, fractures
- Skills Required: IV starts, patient monitoring, labs, medication administration, patient education
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
- Telemetry experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Additional Requirements & Compliance
- Annual review and acknowledgment of dress code and hand hygiene policy
- Annual completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgment
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
- Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually
- NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit (check with recruiter)
- Proof of education accreditation must be verified immediately after contract signing
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start
- Unit-specific competency exams required
