Job Opportunity: Endoscopy/GI Tech

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shifts: Four 10-hour shifts per week with rotating call
Hours per Week: 38 hours

Job Description

Assist nursing staff and physicians during endoscopic procedures, including polypectomy, biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, and dilations.
Efficiently operate and troubleshoot endoscopic equipment.
Disinfect and process endoscopic instruments.
Set up procedure rooms and stock supplies and equipment.
Transport patients as needed.
Assist patients with dressing and ambulation as directed by nursing staff.
Apply EKG monitors, blood pressure cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to procedures.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Colorado Surgical Tech Registration (CST) — must be active prior to submission.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Minimum 2 years of endoscopy technician experience, including experience within the last year.
