Registered Nurse – Oncology Infusion (Chemo)

Location: Terre Haute, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Week: 40 (Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday 7:00 AM - Noon, often finishing earlier)

Job Overview

• Provide intravenous chemotherapy and other IV therapies, including pre- and post-treatment patient care.
• Assess patients prior to IV treatments.
• Access Ports or peripheral IVs for lab draws and therapies.
• Administer chemotherapy, prescribed IV medications, and oral pre-treatment medications.
• Operate infusion equipment and monitor patients during treatment.
• Monitor and manage side effects or reactions according to protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana.
• Minimum of 3 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Infusion experience, specifically with chemotherapy or oncology infusions.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

• Candidates must be located at least 50 miles away; local candidates within 50-100 miles may be considered at a reduced rate.
• Flexibility with hours is preferred to accommodate patient scheduling.
• Immediate availability is required due to high demand on the chemotherapy infusion unit.
