Registered Nurse - Oncology (Travel Assignment)

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

Work in a 190-bed hospital providing 24/7 Emergency Care (Trauma Level III), Cardiovascular Services, Cancer Care, Orthopedic Care, Women’s & Children’s Health, and Primary Care Services
Unit: Med-Surg/Oncology (Floor M1)
Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients
Float Requirements: Must be able to float to all inpatient areas
Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience with pneumonia (PNA) and general surgery patients

Work Environment & Culture

Focus on Relationship Based Care to provide excellent patient care
Flexible scheduling is valued
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
