Overview

Travel/Contract role in Eureka, California
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 26 weeks
Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 18:00–6:00
First-time traveler accepted
Weekend work required to meet staffing needs
Float required within scope to meet facility needs
RTO restriction: no more than 7 days

Labor and Delivery
11 rooms/beds
Average daily census: 15–20
Visits per day: 20
Facility cares for high-risk OB and a culturally diverse population
RNs circulate on cesarean sections

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Pending license not accepted

Preferred

Post partum preferred

Required Certifications

ACLS
BLS
PALS
NRP
EFM
NURSYS verification required for all RNs

Required Health / Compliance Items

Physical exam within 1 year of start
Fit mask
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
Negative TB or chest X-ray
Rubeola (Measles)
Mumps
Rubella
Hepatitis B
Varicella
Drug testing
Flu seasonal vaccination/documentation
COVID vaccination record or declination
RespSafety clearance

Required Experience / History

Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
Employment application with at least the last 5 years of employment
Skills checklist required for applicable unit
Work history verification only if needed for a reference exception request
