Overview

• Travel/contract role in Rochester, New York
• 13-week assignment
• 12-hour shifts: nights or evenings
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted for RN roles

Schedule

• Every other weekend required
• Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• Must submit time-off and block scheduling requests at submission
• May be floated within skillset

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Skills

• IV therapy, including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• IV vasopressors
• CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
• Stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI care
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Adult and pediatric emergency care, including gunshot wounds and ortho trauma
• Isolation precautions and triage
• Pediatric spinal cord injury care

Unit Details

• Patient ratio: 1:5
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Special equipment includes Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment
• Scrub color: navy blue and white
