Job Opportunity: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: San Francisco, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care in the Emergency Department.
  • Follow unit, department, and hospital policies, evidence-based nursing practices, and standards of care.
  • May be required to float to other campuses for support within scope of practice when census permits.

Schedule

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week total).
  • Variable shifts including:
    • Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
    • Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend rotation required; no on-call duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by AHA or ARC.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by AHA or ARC.
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
