Job Description

• Work in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room (Psychiatric Emergency Department)
• Position may float between units, including a nearby hospital performing the same duties if overstaffed
• Work schedule: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Shift hours: 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM (10-hour day shifts)
• Expected patient ratio: 7
• On-call: Not required
• Block schedules: Not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in Washington
• Minimum of 1 year of LICSW experience within the last year
• Experience working with adult patients
• Experience working with pediatric patients

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society (if applicable)
• Other certifications as required by clinical track or unit (verify with credentialing team)

Compliance and Background Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (as applicable)
• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
• State-specific searches including Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) within 90 days of start
• Education verification required
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer, or signed declination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer, or signed declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
  • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
• Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates

Additional Requirements

• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
• Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
• Float policy acknowledgment: May be required to float to other nearby facilities within reasonable distance
