Job Description
- Work in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room (Psychiatric Emergency Department)
- Position may float between units, including a nearby hospital performing the same duties if overstaffed
- Work schedule: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Shift hours: 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM (10-hour day shifts)
- Expected patient ratio: 7
- On-call: Not required
- Block schedules: Not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in Washington
- Minimum of 1 year of LICSW experience within the last year
- Experience working with adult patients
- Experience working with pediatric patients
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society (if applicable)
- Other certifications as required by clinical track or unit (verify with credentialing team)
Compliance and Background Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- State-specific searches including Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) within 90 days of start
- Education verification required
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer, or signed declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer, or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
Additional Requirements
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Float policy acknowledgment: May be required to float to other nearby facilities within reasonable distance
