Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), Monday through Friday
• On-call: Yes, 5-8 calls per month including weekends
• Holiday Call: May be required
• Work Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Local Radius Rule: 60 miles

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Licensure & Certifications

• Certifications Required:

  • Radiation badge (provided by agency; required for this role)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) – verify with specific unit requirements

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Copy of Driver’s License/State ID and Social Security Card required
• Education verification and diploma/transcripts preferred
• Background check including 7 years of history and multiple registry checks required
• NURSYS verification for RN license required
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 90 days of start
• Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days of start, renewed annually
• Immunizations and titers required or proof of vaccination/declination for:

  • Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer or vaccination series)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Annual flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption (flu season August 1 – March 31)
• Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days or chest x-ray if previously positive
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands, updated annually
• Radiation exposure attestation and radiation badge required prior to starting clinical work
• Facility-specific orientation modules and first day instructions must be completed before starting
• Passport-style badge photo required before start date

Additional Notes

• Facility may call off traveler for 1 shift per 2-week pay period
• During hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September), all staff including travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams; consider this before accepting assignment
• Parking permit available with a $20 registration fee for garage use; additional fees may apply for other parking locations
