Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel/Contract)

Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Work schedule: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM; Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Patient ratio: 1:5
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
Unit: 21-bed inpatient medical-surgical unit with private rooms
Patient population: Traumatic and orthopedic injuries, general surgery, plastic surgery (restorative/reconstructive), elective spine surgery; adult and geriatric patients when not at capacity
Facility type: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital
Charting system: EPIC
Scrub color: Solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms
Floating: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
Block scheduling: Possible with manager approval, dependent on unit needs
Locals accepted within 60 miles radius

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
