Job info

Registered Nurse — IMU

Location

  • Bridgeport, West Virginia

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Shift

  • 12-hour nights

Hours

  • 36 hours per week

Unit Details

  • 18-bed IMU
  • Typical step-down patient population
  • Common diagnoses include post-MI with sheath pull, ADHS, post-op vascular, GI bleed, and DKA

Required Qualifications

  • RN license
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Ability to titrate drips

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Telemetry monitoring on all patients; RNs read strips
  • Titrate nitroglycerine, Neo, and Cardene drips

Schedule Requirements

  • Every other weekend
  • Holiday coverage on an every-other-holiday schedule
  • No call or standby requirement

Unit Support

  • Charge nurse and house supervisor available
  • One PCT per shift

Equipment

  • BiPAP
  • CPAP

Floating

  • Float PRN

Dress Code

  • Royal scrubs
  • Undershirts may be white, royal blue, or black

Orientation

  • Unit-based orientation
