Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday
- Option for 4x10 hour shifts if needed
- On-call requirement: 1-2 call shifts per week, including 1 weekend call
Unit Overview
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Number of Beds: 2 Cath Labs
- Staffing: 7 team members total
- Day Shift: 3 RNs, 3 Cath Lab Techs, 1 Charge Nurse Coordinator
- Night Shift: Not applicable
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Equipment: Philips Xper FD20 and FD10, Shockwave, Penumbra, IABP pump, Impella, Cardiomems, PFO Closure, EKOS
- EMR Systems: PAC’s Merge and Meditech
- Permanent Positions Available: Yes
Typical Procedures
- Left and Right Heart Catheterization (LHC/RHC)
- Use of advanced devices such as Shockwave, Penumbra, IABP pump, Impella, Cardiomems, PFO Closure, EKOS
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with experience within the last year
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an IR (Interventional Radiology) tech or EP (Electrophysiology) tech
