Level I trauma Emergency Department with 51–60 beds/bays
Night shift
Long-term contract

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
1 year of Emergency Department experience
Emergency Department experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS
Independent experience with breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, mechanical ventilation, RSI medication administration, procedural sedation, chest tube setup and care, and tracheostomy care

Contract Details

13 weeks
Every other weekend required
No 48 hour contracts
No special schedule requests
RTO is auto approved up to 5 total days; if 5 days are consecutive, 1 week will be added to the end of the contract

Clinical Experience Needed

Independent experience with breathing treatments, CPAP / BiPAP, mechanical ventilation, RSI medication administration, procedural sedation, chest tube setup & care, and tracheostomy care
Experience managing trauma patients, cardiac emergencies, neurologic emergencies, medical & surgical emergencies, burn patients, behavioral health crises, and pediatric & NICU/PICU boarders when held in the ED

Ratios: 1:4 standard ED, 1:3 high acuity, 1:2 trauma / critical care
Ancillary staff: ED Techs
Patient age groups: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric
Patient mix: approximately 75% ambulatory/outpatient ED population and 25% inpatient boarders managed in the ED
Pediatric volume: approximately 5%
Scrub color: Royal Blue
