Provide direct care to cardiovascular medical-surgical patients, including post-operative day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients.
Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Conduct hourly rounding on patients.
Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards and incidents.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Fulfill all departmental competencies and participate in ongoing professional development.

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
Minimum 3 years of Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience in cardiovascular surgical care, including CABG and vascular surgery.
Medical-surgical nursing experience.
