Registered Nurse – Med Surg – Nights

Location: Portales, New Mexico
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a rural community acute care hospital setting.
• Night shift hours: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Typical patient ratio: 5:1.
• Tele-intensivist support available.
• Occasional charge nurse responsibilities.
• Pediatric admissions possible.
• Bilingual skills are helpful but not required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience, with recent Med Surg experience within the last year.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
• Experience in charge nurse roles.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not required.
