Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Start Date: ASAP
Weekend Requirement: No
On Call Requirement: No

Position Summary

Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients within the Echocardiography department.

Required Qualifications

Valid Echo Technologist license in New Mexico
Echo Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
ARDMS or CCI certification or registry eligible
New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
High school diploma or equivalent, or completion of a two-year allied health education program related to patient care (e.g., diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, or registered nurse)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and potential physical injury.
Must follow safety standards to limit exposure to infectious agents.
Physical demands include lifting patients and pushing heavy equipment, beds, and carts.

Supervision

Reports to the Director of Cardiovascular Services.
