Respiratory Therapist

Job Overview

Travel assignment in Lafayette, Indiana
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Call: None

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
ACLS
PALS
BLS
NRP
Experience working with Neonate patients
Acute care experience with Med Surg, ER, and ICU
Experience managing Bipaps, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units
Experience assisting with intubations and bedside bronchs
Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience

Unit Experience

Works across ICU, Med Surg, ER, and NICU
Typical care includes ICU/CCU, NICU, and emergency care
Experience with ventilators, BiPAP, heated high-flow oxygen, intubation assistance, bedside bronchoscopy, and EMR charting is relevant

Work Environment

160-bed unit
RVU-based patient ratios
Equipment includes vents, Drager V500, Aerogon’s, V60 BiPAP, HHFNC, Hamilton C-transport, oscillator, jet, nitric, and bubble CPAP

Additional Notes

Pewter gray scrubs required
Must be willing to work in a Level 3 NICU
Team environment described as cohesive and experienced
