The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to a group of patients during a designated time frame. Responsibilities include:

Department Specific Functions:

Floating to various inpatient units such as Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs (if applicable)
Providing direct nursing care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Conducting assessments, nursing diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
Precepting staff from various units as needed
Coordinating care to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
At least 6 months experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience working with Epic electronic health record system
