Job Description

• Practice nurse role in an ambulatory oncology clinic (no infusion duties).
• Patient population: oncology patients before, during, or after treatments; includes follow-up, pre-op, and post-op care.
• Responsibilities include telephone triage, inbasket handling, assisting providers during clinic visits.
• Chemo knowledge and oncology experience required.
• Floating between specialties may be required within scope.
• Weekend work is not required.
• Block scheduling accommodation is not available.
• Pending license accepted but must be active prior to start.
• Guaranteed hours.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut.
• Minimum 2 years of Hematology/Oncology nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current ACLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience in outpatient and clinic settings.
• Ambulatory care experience.
