Overview
- Travel/contract role in Baltimore, Maryland
- Night shift, 36 hours per week
- Start dates: 10/13 or 10/27
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit / Assignment Details
- CVICU
- 8 staffed beds/rooms
- Average daily census: 1–8
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- On-call: 4 call shifts in a 6-week schedule
- Weekend requirement: every third weekend
- Must float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of CVICU experience
- CVICU experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with immediate post-operative care
- Experience with chest tube insertion and removal assistance
- Experience with ventilator management
- Experience with temporary pacemakers
- Experience with transcutaneous pacing
- Experience with IV insulin protocols
Preferred
- Lumbar drain
