Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job - Saint Louis, Missouri

Shift: Monday to Friday, 4 days of 10-hour shifts (6:15 AM - 4:45 PM)
Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Caseload: 8-15 patients daily
Local Radius Rule: Candidates must live more than 75 miles away (no locals accepted)
Floating: No floating to sister facilities
On-Call: Not required
Weekend Work: Not required
Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
Cross-Training Opportunity: Proton therapy, external beam, simulation, and overtime shifts available
No previous brachytherapy experience required

Job Description

Work primarily in the brachytherapy department
Operate HDR (High Dose Rate) units and assist in brachytherapy implants
Administer radiopharmaceuticals as directed by Authorized User/Authorized Medical Physicist (AU/AMP)
Must pass the NRC Radiation Safety Exam within the first 2 weeks of the contract (study materials provided)
Sensitivity training is highly preferred

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiation Therapist license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, including ARRT (T)
