Operating Room Registered Nurse

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

• Days
• 40 hours per week
• Rotating day/afternoon shifts
• May include 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
• Occasional weekends
• Holiday call may be discussed

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse
• BLS certification
• Must be able to circulate independently
• Must be able to take call as required

Assignment Details

• Operating room role in a level I trauma setting
• Floating may occur between two OR areas based on experience
• Travelers are expected to take standby call
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Scrubbing is not required
• Travelers will not be placed in charge nurse or house supervisor roles

Experience Preferences

• Strong orthopedic background
• Strong ambulatory experience may be helpful for one OR area

Orientation

• Orientation is provided for both OR areas and includes EPIC orientation

Additional Notes

• Scrubs are provided
• Must submit only one position at a time across the system
• Driver’s license address must be more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous permanent staff must be gone for 2 years before reapplying
• Previous travelers who completed 1 full year must be gone for 2 years before reapplying
• A current driver’s license copy must be included with submission
