Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36

Unit and Role Overview

Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Role involves cross-training and coverage in Obstetrics (OB) units due to staffing shortages
May require floating within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state
Minimum 2 years of recent Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Washington Suicide Prevention
- Code of Conduct Orientation and Refresher
Completion of ICU Neonatal Skills Self-Assessment

Facility is a teaching hospital with 111 beds, located in a region offering recreational and cultural amenities
New hire orientation sessions are scheduled regularly throughout the year

Pros

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.

Cons

On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
