Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in a home health setting within Transylvania County/Brevard, NC.
  • Patient load typically 5-6 patients per day.
  • Documentation system used: HCHB.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shifts.
  • Uniform: Navy blue or navy/white scrubs required.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for patient visits.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting certification
  • Successful completion of Home Health Nurse Exam
  • Completion of Home Health Nurse Skills Checklist
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Proven experience working in a Home Health setting

  • The unit serves approximately 100 patients.
  • Home health nursing experience is critical for success in this role.
  • Therapy positions require home health experience but are not part of this RN role.
  • Dress code for therapy staff is business casual; for nursing, navy or navy/white scrubs.
  • Candidates should be prepared to follow unit-specific policies and guidelines.
