Role Overview

Travel RN position in Alexandria, Louisiana
Night shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Full-time
3 openings
Temp-to-perm is a possibility

Contract

13 weeks

Clinical Setting

Med-surg unit with a focus on post-surgical patients, including orthopedics and general surgery
Also serves neuro patients

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care using the nursing process
Administer medications and treatments
Monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Med Surg experience within the last year
1 year of Med Surg experience
BLS issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule / Work Conditions

Must be willing to float
Weekends could be required
No call
Patient ratio: 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing

Preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
EPIC experience is a bonus
