Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech Maternal Fetal
Location

Schedule
- Monday to Thursday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (4x8)
- Friday: 7:45 AM – 1:00 PM (1x5)
- No call, float, or weekend requirements

- Adolescents and Adults
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine clinic focusing on high-risk pregnancy ultrasounds
Job Description
- Perform ultrasounds in Maternal Fetal Medicine setting
- Average daily census: 12 visits/day across 6 rooms
- Procedures include full anatomy scans, follow-ups, growth scans, Dopplers, and amniocentesis
- Use of specialized equipment such as Samsung HR ultrasound machines and Trophon for probe cleaning
- Documentation completed in EPIC and ASOB systems
- Orientation: 40 hours with support from full-time sonographers
- Scrubs: Royal Blue (not provided)
Required Skills and Experience
- Valid Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography license in North Carolina
- Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- ARDMS certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Skills
- Experience with High Risk OB & Obstetrics
- Knowledge of Isolation Precautions and PPE
Required Qualifications
- Valid license appropriate for Ultrasound Tech in the state of North Carolina
- ARDMS OB/GYN certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Orientation and Start Details
- Start date subject to change based on class and trainer availability
- Travelers may start Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week
- Must be fully available with no other commitments during orientation
- Missing any portion of orientation may delay or cancel start
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including local county, federal court, national criminal database, DOJ sex offender search, and education verification for highest degree earned
- Drug screening within 30 days of start (negative 10-panel urine drug screen)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (or within 30 days if past positive TB)
- Fit mask testing (N95 or PAPR training) within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable
- Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (with facility-specific declination if applicable)
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption documentation
- Completion of facility-specific education modules and compliance training
- Submission of a passport-style photo on a solid white background for badge creation
- Completion of confidentiality agreement, hospital policies acknowledgment, and other required facility documents prior to start
- Proof of logging into facility’s I-Learn system and completion of required online training modules
Additional Notes
- Radiation badge not required for this role
- No call, float, or weekend shifts required
- Clinic environment with a team including MDs, sonographers, CMAs, and clerical staff
- Documentation and reporting responsibilities included in daily workflow
