Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Crescent City, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: ICU
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per week: 36 hours
Schedule Requirements:
- Every other weekend required
- On-call/call-off based on census

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, with ICU experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Competencies & Testing

Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Unit-specific skills checklist, renewed annually
Possible EKG/dysrhythmia competency exam depending on unit requirements
ICU RNs at some locations may be required to take an onsite EKG exam after start

Facility-Specific Requirements

Candidate must review and sign facility policies and documents prior to start, including:
- Job description
- Standards of business conduct
- Vendor training and code of conduct (for current and future contract years)
- Overpayment refund policy
- General regulatory orientation for contracted workers
TB questionnaire signed by candidate and healthcare provider within 90 days of start, renewed annually
Conditional offer of employment attestation required prior to start
Religious exemption forms required if applicable for facial hair or vaccine exemptions
