Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Unit: Liver center with procedures including Y-90, MAAS, AVS, DEBS, PTC, and Drain Placements
- Equipment Used: Siemens imaging systems
- On-Call Requirement: One day per week from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Skill Preferences: Experience with PACS, C-Arm, and Contrast preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Physical Exam: Completed within 12 months of start date
- Fit Mask (Respirator) Test: Valid fit test within 12 months, using approved respirators (e.g., 3M N95 models or Honeywell N95)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Rubeola (Measles): Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no exemptions accepted
- Mumps: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no exemptions accepted
- Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no exemptions accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no exemptions accepted; history of disease not accepted
- Hepatitis B: Series, titer, or signed declination required
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Strongly recommended but not required
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination: Required during flu season (9/30 - 3/31); no declinations accepted except approved medical or religious exemptions
- Tuberculosis Screening: Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year of start; if positive, chest X-ray and documentation required
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (including amphetamines, marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP)
- Color Blind Exam: Ishihara or equivalent test with 100% minimum score required
Background and Documentation
- Background Check: Must be completed within 90 days of start, including 7 years of residence/work history, SSN trace, county/state/national checks, sex offender registry, FACIS Level III, education verification, and international search if applicable
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG Checks: Required within 30 days of start
- Education Verification: Completed by third party; may be pending at start but must be obtained
- Transcript/Diploma: Official transcript or diploma required; may be pending at start if needed
- Employment Application: Must be current, include full work history, and explain any gaps of 30 days or more over the past 7 years
- Driver’s License or Passport: Valid, clear copy required
Competency and Orientation
- Competency Exams: Unit competency exam and medication/pharmacology exam required
- Orientation: Completion of facility-specific orientation packets and safety manuals required prior to start
- Mandatory Modules: Completion of required online modules (22 total) for Respiratory Therapists only; not applicable for this role unless specified otherwise
