Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work on a true Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) unit delivering approximately 100 babies per month.
- Staffing ratios: 1:1 for labor, 1:3-4 for mother/baby couplets.
- Teaching hospital environment with family medicine and OBGYN residency programs.
- In-house OB Hospitalist and dedicated anesthesiologist available 24/7.
- Night shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), including every third weekend.
- Royal blue scrubs required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Criminal background check within 12 months, including SSN trace, 7-year county residency/work history, nationwide search, and sex offender search.
- Primary source verification of nursing license prior to start.
- NURSYS verification required prior to start.
- Negative drug screen within 12 months of start.
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health.
- Fit mask testing to be completed onsite during the first week of orientation.
- TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if PPD positive.
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season.
- COVID vaccination series preferred but not mandatory.
- OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing.
- Completion of all required facility-specific orientation modules and documents prior to or during orientation.
- Photo for badge (passport style, plain background).
- Skills checklist and references as per placement standards.
Additional Information
- Candidates must complete an orientation checklist during the first week on assignment.
- Candidates will be fit tested onsite during orientation; failure to submit fit test results within two weeks may result in removal from assignment.
- Modules and training must be updated annually as required.
- This position requires working every third weekend on night shifts.
