Overview

• Travel/contract role in Portland, Oregon.
• Night shift: 3x12, 18:45–7:15.
• No call.
• 13-week contract.
• Unit accepts first-time travelers.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Oregon.
• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of experience.
• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• BLS - Basic Life Support.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure.
• Experience with Epic.

Role Summary

• Pediatric Respiratory Care Practitioner supporting the NICU, PICU, emergency department, and pediatric/adult acute-intermediate care wards.
• Provides bedside respiratory care and therapeutic interventions, including airway management, therapeutic gases, ventilator management, newborn resuscitation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, spontaneous ventilatory parameters, and point-of-care testing.

Additional Notes

• The role includes training new Respiratory Therapists, students, and other healthcare team members.
• Must complete competency testing, required in-services, and maintain competency for equipment and modalities within scope of practice.
• Must review and sign the professional appearance policy, job description, coronavirus protocol attestation, and handbook-related orientation materials before start.
