Overview
- Travel/contract role in Portland, Oregon.
- Night shift: 3x12, 18:45–7:15.
- No call.
- 13-week contract.
- Unit accepts first-time travelers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Oregon.
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of experience.
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
- BLS - Basic Life Support.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure.
- Experience with Epic.
Role Summary
- Pediatric Respiratory Care Practitioner supporting the NICU, PICU, emergency department, and pediatric/adult acute-intermediate care wards.
- Provides bedside respiratory care and therapeutic interventions, including airway management, therapeutic gases, ventilator management, newborn resuscitation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, spontaneous ventilatory parameters, and point-of-care testing.
Additional Notes
- The role includes training new Respiratory Therapists, students, and other healthcare team members.
- Must complete competency testing, required in-services, and maintain competency for equipment and modalities within scope of practice.
- Must review and sign the professional appearance policy, job description, coronavirus protocol attestation, and handbook-related orientation materials before start.
