Operating Room First Assist - Cardiac Experience Needed

Role Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in Charleston, West Virginia
• Day shift options: 4x10s, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM, or 3x12s, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
• Some weekday and weekend on-call is required
• May be floated within CAMC Memorial
• 80 guaranteed hours per 2 weeks
• Scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of CVOR First Assist experience
• CVOR First Assist experience within the last year
• Experience working with cardiac patients
• Experience with cardiovascular (CV) surgery
• Experience with vein harvesting
• Experience with radial artery harvesting
• Experience with robotic surgery
• Surgical First Assistant experience
• NBSTSA, NCCSA, or ABSA certification
• Valid West Virginia license can be pending at submission, but must be active to start
• Valid driver’s license
• Social Security card
• 1 reference from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse from a facility worked within 1 year of start
• 100-mile radius rule applies; candidates 75–99 miles away may be considered

Preferred

• First-time travelers are accepted if they have the required experience

Additional Notes

• Start date is contingent on credentialing and may take up to 90 days
• Holidays are required as call
• Open to blocked schedule discussion in interview
