Job Details

• Specialty: Medical Surgical Nursing
• Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Patient Ratio:

  • Days: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients
  • Nights: 1 nurse to 6-7 patients
• Local radius for commute: 75 miles
• Return to Office (RTO) policy: Only one holiday off allowed; total time off 7 days or less

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Harassment Prevention Training
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Certifications & Training

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA strongly preferred; ARC accepted initially but must update to AHA for subsequent contracts
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA strongly preferred; ARC accepted initially but must update to AHA for subsequent contracts
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA strongly preferred; ARC accepted initially but must update to AHA for subsequent contracts
• Harassment Prevention Training Certificate (New York state requirement)
• Competency exams as applicable, including:

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency (minimum 80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (required if working in ICU, PCU, ER, CT ICU, or 7th Floor M/S Unit; expires every 3 years)

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start and updated annually (specific approved masks required)
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold) or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (positive titer, proof of 2 vaccines, or documented history of chickenpox)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (September 1 – March 31)
• Pneumonia vaccination or declination required
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)

Documentation & Onboarding

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency contact form (required prior to start)
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year location history
  • Nationwide sex offender registry
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM (annual)
  • HHS/OIG (annual)
  • Education verification
  • Florida Education Audit Confirmation (for RN/LPN only)
