Hours per Day: 12

Continuously monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature) and level of consciousness during patient recovery from anesthesia.
Ensure airway patency and adequate respiratory function; intervene promptly in case of obstruction or respiratory distress.
Administer medications to manage post-operative symptoms, including painkillers, anti-nausea drugs, and fluids.
Assess surgical sites for bleeding or complications, check dressings, and perform physical assessments.
Recognize adverse reactions to anesthesia or surgery and initiate emergency interventions as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members regarding patient condition and care plans.

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
Minimum 2 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Facility is a 415-bed acute care hospital offering specialty, primary, and preventative care services including cardiovascular, neuroscience, women’s health, orthopedics, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, EMS, and oncology.
Emergency department treats over 45,000 patients annually.
