Unit Overview
- Specialty: Neurology - Med Surg
- Unit Size: 40 beds
- Staffing (Day Shift): 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 4 PCTs
- Staffing (Night Shift): 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 4 PCTs
- Patient Ratios:
- Day: 5-6 patients per nurse
- Night: 6 patients per nurse
- EMR System: Meditech
- Permanent positions available on unit
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Team Culture: Positive, team-oriented environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
