Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Work Schedule

• Rotating shifts: Four 10-hour shifts (9:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM), flexible based on OR volume
• Call hours based on department needs, including holiday call rotating with regular staff
• May require floating onsite within skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Prior travel assignment completed
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must not be expired and address must comply with compact license rules if applicable)

Required Onboarding and Compliance

• Completion of specialty competency exams with minimum 80% passing score (including Ascension Specialty Exam, Core Competencies, EKG Exam)
• Epic test-out and training checklist with signed attestation
• Health requirements including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations)
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations)
  • Tdap valid within 10 years (no declinations)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • 2-step PPD or IGRA testing for TB with annual updates
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be done onsite)
  • Statement of good health or physical exam prior to assignment and updated annually
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
• Background checks including criminal, employment, and professional references verification
• Completion of onboarding education attestations and modules specific to nursing contingent workers
• Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to assignment

Additional Notes

• Must be able to demonstrate competency and maintain certifications with periodic renewals every 1-3 years as specified
• Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required based on operational needs

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
