Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients using the nursing process.
• Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Float to various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs as needed.
• Precept staff from various units.
• Participate in Unit Nurse Leader Training as required.
• Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify personal learning needs and pursue professional development.
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system.
• Must have current Trauma 1 experience.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
